Large Shaker box by artist Barbara Armstrong. This box is made of maple wood and copper nails. As beautiful as it is functional.

“In keeping with Shaker traditions dating back hundreds of years, we craft these boxes with thin bands of wood which we steam and bend to oval or round shapes. Copper nails secure the “fingers” and wooden pegs fix the tops and bottoms. The boxes are then sanded, smoothed and finished with several coats of Danish oil and beeswax.”

The large shaker box is 9 3/4 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 3 1/2 inches deep. The handle comes to 11 1/2 inches high.
